Greek Sandals Making

In this seminar you will make a unique pair of sandals tailored to your measurements with the guidance of teacher and designer George Mallis

What does the Workshop include?

pair of leather sandals is not missing from the Greek wardrobe and is a pole of attraction for tourists who pass by the sandal shops at Monastiraki and Plaka neigbourhoods.

In this course we will show you the whole process of making leather sandals (there are also options in vegan leather) from cutting the sole to the assembling the upper part with the leather straps.

You can choose your favorite from the designs that designer and teacher George Mallis has prepared for you and make your own pair of sandals to your measurements with his guidance.

You can personalize them by dyeing them with special impregnation dyes or by adding decorative elements.

The mounting will not be done on a shoelast  but on your feet to have a perfect fit in any of the designs you choose

The teacher will share with you all the "secrets" of the profession and guide you on where to find materials, tools and partners.

Of course, if you like it and want to develop it, you can also attend the big 30-hour sandal design & construction seminar or join the annual footwear design & construction department
