Ceramics Workshop

A self-contained seminar for those who wish to learn the basic techniques of clay modeling (leaf, macaroni, pinch) and make their first ceramic creations...like a unique mug for their morning coffee!

What does the Workshop include?

Theoretical part: Ceramic materials and tools will be presented as well as basic clay molding techniques (tsimpito, phyllo and macaroni).

Practical part:   The workshop will give participants the opportunity to become familiar with the materials, tools and techniques of ceramics. Starting from kneading and cutting the clay, we will gradually learn the three basic clay-making techniques: macaroni, filo, and tsimpito. Each participant, using these techniques, will construct 2-3 ceramic creations with the guidance of the teachers, which they will decorate with techniques that will be presented in the lesson (different textures, bandanas, etc.). Let your imagination and the clay take you on a journey. You can make utilitarian objects such as mugs, vases, teapots, etc. or you can construct artistic or decorative objects.

After the end of the seminar, we will bake your creations and you will be able to pick them up to drink your coffee every morning in your own unique mug!
