What does the Workshop include?
The seminar will provide two options for unisex single-compartment shoulder bag designs with a lid and either a shoulder or cross-body strap.
After they choose the design that suits them...
Participants will choose the leathers and colors they prefer as well as among the available closures and strap lengths, thus creating unique combinations and original constructions! At the end of the seminar, no bag will look the same as the others
Then, students will learn to cut leather on a cutting press with special knives for speed of construction and perfect results.
We will talk about impregnation dyes on natural-colored leathers and we will paint and polish as many individual pieces of the construction as required.
This is followed by marking and piercing the leather and assembly with saddle stitch (hand-sewn leatherwork with two needles).
We complete by installing straps and metal accessories (straps, buckles, etc.)
We saved the best for last....after the end of the seminar, in addition to your bag, you will also be sent an electronic copy of the patterns as well as a list of tools and suppliers so you can make your favorite bag over and over again with other materials and different combinations!
