
What does the Workshop include?
Theoretical part:
Introduction to the art of engraving, tools and materials.
Case study
Laboratory part:
Transferring a design to linoleum
Explanation of the subtractive technique of parts of the design so that our design can be transferred with the print. Carving and removal using carving tools (chisels)
Surface inking using special tools and transferring with uniform pressure to the surface we want to print (paper, fabric, leather, etc.).
Discussion on the process of repeating patterns in fabric design.
Prints using textured objects
Each student, depending on their personal style, can suggest designs to print.
The school will provide the materials and tools used in the course to experiment on various printing surfaces (fabrics, textile, bags, paper, pieces of leather, etc.)
TIP : Bring something with you that you would like to print, such as a t-shirt, a jacket, or a fabric bag to fill with unique prints!
At the end of the course, each participant takes home their work.

YANNIS BARTSOKAS
Yiannis Bartsokas is a street artist, born and lives in N. Ionia. He studied graphic design, has been painting for as long as he can remember. He makes murals, graffiti, paintings as well as painting on shoes, clothes and accessories. He collaborated with converse for the create your own service. He has taken part in exhibitions and competitions where he has been distinguished.
