Linoleum Engraving

A two-day Workshop dedicated to the art of linoleum engraving and the creation of original handmade prints on various materials and surfaces

What does the Workshop include?

Theoretical part:

  • Introduction to the art of engraving, tools and materials.

  • Case study

Laboratory part:

  • Transferring a design to linoleum

  • Explanation of the subtractive technique of parts of the design so that our design can be transferred with the print. Carving and removal using carving tools (chisels)

  • Surface inking using special tools and transferring with uniform pressure to the surface we want to print (paper, fabric, leather, etc.).

  • Discussion on the process of repeating patterns in fabric design.

  • Prints using textured objects


Each student, depending on their personal style, can suggest designs to print.


The school will provide the materials and tools used in the course to experiment on various printing surfaces (fabrics, textile, bags, paper, pieces of leather, etc.)


TIP : Bring something with you that you would like to print, such as a t-shirt, a jacket, or a fabric bag to fill with unique prints!


At the end of the course, each participant takes home their work.


Meet Your Teacher

YANNIS BARTSOKAS

Yiannis Bartsokas is a street artist, born and lives in N. Ionia. He studied graphic design, has been painting for as long as he can remember. He makes murals, graffiti, paintings as well as painting on shoes, clothes and accessories. He collaborated with converse for the create your own service. He has taken part in exhibitions and competitions where he has been distinguished.

The cost includes all materials and tools that will be used during the seminar.

One-time payment upon booking the seat

What you will get at the end of the workshop:

Upon completing the workshop, you will take with you all the projects you have made in the course. A list of tools and materials as well as a list of suppliers for the Attica region and an electronic certificate of seminar attendance will also be sent electronically to all participants.

Reservations can be made either at the school's secretariat using the available payment methods (cash, POS, bank deposit) or electronically via the website using a debit or credit card.
