
What does the Workshop include?
A bookbinding technique where the issues are sewn with decorative stitches, directly onto leather without another cover.

Familiarity with the materials (paper, leather, threads, leather dyes, polishes) and bookbinding tools for the specific method (bookbinding bones, leather handling tools, tools for creating textures and prints on the leather)
Case study
Structural design
Presentation of methods for making notebooks with sewn or detachable inner paper sheets
Laboratory part
Making the papers from paper
Marking, cutting skin
Backstitching for decorative stitching (explanation of the process of creating different stitching patterns)
Leather dyeing with special impregnation dyes. Surface treatment to create textures (aging techniques, pyrography, and other original textures)
Creating individual details such as pencil cases, clasps, etc.
Finishing of leather parts by treating the edges and polishing the surface with specialized materials
Binding of issues at the spine with decorative stitching
