A technique for special constructions with jute rope

What does the Workshop include?

Jute is a natural material produced from plants of the genus Corchorus, mainly in India and Bangladesh.


It is a very environmentally friendly material as well as the user himself as its cultivation is completely natural without the use of fertilizers and pesticides. It is also very durable and is used in a very wide variety of applications such as carpets, ropes, bags and many more.


What will you learn in the seminar?


In the seminar we will learn the technique of making objects from jute rope. This specific technique can be applied to construction in many different applications and depending on the diameter of the rope, objects of different thickness can be obtained, such as

  • Carpets

  • Sandals

  • Discs

  • Coasters and placemats

  • Baskets

  • Wall decorations

  • Bags

  • Flowerpot

Specifically, in the seminar we will make small objects such as coasters and small bags.

8 hours - 2 four-hour meetings

The cost includes all materials and tools that will be used during the seminar.

One-time payment upon booking the seat

What you will get at the end of the workshop:

Upon completing the Workshop, you will take home small jute crafts.
