In this seminar, you will acquire all the knowledge you need to become independent in minor repairs, interventions and tasks that may be required in a home...from recognizing basic tools, choosing the right materials to hanging shelves or curtain rods, as well as knowledge to do basic plumbing and electrical work.
Together we will learn.
- What you will need to have in a complete home toolbox (plumbing, electrical, general purpose)
- The types of each tool category and their intended use (screwdrivers, saws, pliers, tongs, hammers, etc.)
- Types of screws & plugs
- Nail categories and their intended use
- The drill driver (electric & battery) how to choose the right drill for the intended job. (useful tips)
- Basic electrical knowledge: safety rules, tools required (electric screwdrivers, cutters, etc.), familiarity with other accessories (terminals, sockets, etc.)
Partial tasks - Laboratory
Installing shelves & curtain rods: measuring, leveling, marking, hanging
Basic plumbing work: installing/replacing a faucet, how to screw it in - cleaning & unclogging pipes, replacing a cistern float
Basic electrical work: hanging a light fixture, changing a socket, simple wiring
