The seminar will present techniques for making a leather belt with hand tools.

What does the Workshop include?

In the seminar we will present techniques for making a leather belt with hand tools.


Theoretical part

  • Familiarity with materials (leather, dyes, threads, metal parts) and leatherworking tools (cutters for large strips, punches, capsule makers, presses, cutting knives, care tools, etc.)

  • Structural dimensioning - body measurements


Laboratory part

  • Somatometry and dimensioning of each structure

  • Marking, cutting leather

  • Reinforcements

  • Impregnation paints where required

  • Finishing of leather parts by treating the edges and polishing the surface with specialized materials

  • Placing a document and other individual elements

  • Hand stitching (saddlestich) where required

The Workshop program

Duration:

8 hours - 2 four-hour meetings - Weekend 11:00-15:00

Cost:

150€

What is included

The cost includes all materials and tools that will be used during the seminar.

Means of payment:

One-time payment upon booking the seat

What you will get at the end of the workshop:

Upon completing the workshop, you will take home a custom-made leather belt that you will have made during the course. A list of tools and materials, as well as a list of suppliers for the Attica region, and an electronic confirmation of seminar attendance will also be sent electronically to all participants.
